A Day of Impact in Baringo County – Kiboino Primary School

It was a day filled with purpose, compassion, and hope as The Wondering Women together with Born to Be Awesome Organization visited Kiboino Primary School in Baringo County. From the moment we arrived, the excitement and curiosity from the learners reminded us why this work matters so deeply.
We began with an interactive session on menstrual health and hygiene. The room was alive with energy as both girls and boys actively participated. It was especially inspiring to see the boys fully engaged in asking questions, contributing to discussions, and breaking the stigma that often surrounds menstruation. This inclusivity is exactly what we strive for: informed, supportive communities where no child feels left out.
Each girl received sanitary towels, ensuring they can attend school with confidence and dignity. The boys were not left behind they received boxers, reinforcing the importance of hygiene for all. These simple yet essential items are powerful tools in keeping children in school and boosting their self-esteem.
In addition, the school received computers to support ICT learning. This step opens doors to a world of knowledge and opportunity, equipping the learners with digital skills that are vital for their future. Seeing their faces light up at this gift was a reminder that empowerment also comes through education and access.
Our journey did not end at the school. We went further into the community for home visits, where we met the elderly and persons living with disabilities. We shared food supplies and, more importantly, moments of connection, kindness, and encouragement. In those homes, we were reminded that sometimes hope is the greatest gift we can give.
As the day came to an end, our hearts were full. What we witnessed was more than outreach it was transformation, unity, and the planting of seeds for a better tomorrow. Together, we are not just changing lives; we are building a future where every child and every community member feels seen, supported, and empowered.
